Smart Village

The Government of India introduced the idea of a “Smart Village” in 2014 with the intention of changing the rural environment of the country. This aims to create an environment that villages may thrive in, with respect to innovation, infrastructure, and people resources. The University adopted village Surpura in the year 2016. The said village is located at a distance of nearly 10 kilometres and is a representative of the customs and traditions of the Jodhpur-Marwar region.

Through the years and after a plethora of projects, initiatives, and mutual contact, a bond has been developed between the villagers and members of the Committee, which has facilitated the creation of an ecosystem of constant support and an enriching exchange of values and ideas.
