The Legal Aid and Awareness Committee conducted the online training session Drishti Shakti on cyber security on 24ht December. It was a collaborative programme run by the National Commission for Women, Facebook and Cyber Peace Foundation aimed to promote digital literacy among students and train them about the precautions that can be taken online. The whole session was extremely useful in relevance to the current pandemic and our dependence on internet. The Panelist, Janice, raised awareness about cyber crimes and urged us to carry forward this information to others. She explained the pros and cons of digatalization through most common and easy examples. The webinar taught us to be responsible regarding our digital footprint and its adverse effects. As users we were made aware of all the resources available to us in case a crimes is committed against us. By the end of this session the audience learnt how to prevent the problems and handle such crimes.
